Legal Information & Notices

About This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Flat Roof Systems Group LLC ("FRSG") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, book a Roof Inspection, purchase LeakStop, request roofing services, or contact us. Personal data includes information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.

Personal Data We Collect

The personal data FRSG collects depends on the features you use, the services you request, and the information you provide. You may browse public pages without submitting a service request. If you do not provide information needed to arrange or perform a service, we may be unable to fulfill your request.

Contact, Property, and Service Information

When you book an inspection, purchase LeakStop, request service, or contact FRSG, you may provide:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • A building or site address and information about the property, including roof size and the building you select.
  • Your company, your role at the building, why you want the roof inspected or repaired, and how soon you need service.
  • The number of leaks, your arrival choice, and information needed to arrange roof access.
  • The content of emails and other communications you send us.

If someone arranges service on your behalf, we may receive your contact details and property information from that person. Provide another person's details only when you are authorized to do so.

Payment and Transaction Information

LeakStop payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. Payment details entered there are collected by Stripe, rather than through a payment-card form hosted by FRSG. We receive information needed to confirm and administer your purchase, including order details, the amount paid, payment status, and the contact information associated with the purchase.

Website Usage and Analytics

When you use our website, our systems and hosting providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of a request. We use this information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.

We also use PostHog, an analytics service, to estimate visits, count page views, record whether a reader found a Resource helpful, and measure how visitors move through a LeakStop Purchase. For LeakStop we record which step of the purchase you reached, which explanatory panels you opened, and whether a failure stopped you, along with the Arrival Window you chose, how many Leak Zones you reported, and whether the Night Fee applied. We send no address, contact details, or payment details with those measurements. PostHog sets no analytics cookies. It uses temporary identifiers in your browser tab's session storage to connect page views and recordings during a visit. We have configured it to discard IP addresses, so analytics does not retain yours. We do not create person profiles or use persistent analytics identifiers to recognize returning visitors after the browser tab's session ends.

We use session replay to understand how visitors navigate the website and where they encounter problems. These recordings reconstruct page content, clicks, scrolling, and navigation. Form input values are masked, and areas displaying customer contact details, building addresses, and property maps are blocked before recording data leaves your browser. We do not record the payment receipt page, console logs, or network request and response bodies or headers. Query strings and fragments are removed from replay URLs. You can exclude your visits from analytics and recordings.

Property Information from Other Sources

We may receive address, parcel, building-footprint, or roof-area information from property-data and mapping providers. We combine this information with the details you provide to identify the building and provide the roofing services you request.

Address suggestions are provided by Google Maps Platform and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We use the address you select to locate and measure the property you identify for service. Maps may also be provided through Apple Maps.

How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

  • Measure or identify the roof you ask us to review.
  • Contact you to confirm service, schedule an inspection, and settle any applicable fee.
  • Arrange roof access, perform inspections and roofing work, and provide requested services.
  • Confirm purchases, administer payments and refunds, and maintain transaction records.
  • Respond to questions and provide customer support.
  • Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our website and operations.
  • Detect or prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and technical problems.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.
  • Improve our services using aggregated or de-identified information.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal data as needed to perform a contract with you, with your consent, to meet our legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business and services.

How We Share Personal Data

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Service Providers

We may share data with companies that provide services on our behalf, including website hosting, analytics (PostHog), address and property information, communications, data storage, security, and administration of bookings and orders. Data shared with a provider depends on the function it performs; analytics does not receive the same service-request information as the team arranging your visit. Providers acting on our behalf may use the data only to provide their services to us or as allowed by law.

Stripe processes payment information to complete transactions and provide its payment services. Mapping and payment providers may also process information under their own privacy policies. You can review the policies of Stripe, Google, and Apple for their respective services.

People Who Perform Your Service

We may share the property, contact, booking, and order information needed by the people coordinating your visit and the inspectors or roofing professionals performing the work.

Legal and Business Purposes

We may disclose data if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect people or property, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect our rights. If our business is involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, personal data may be disclosed as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Sale, Advertising, and Profiling

FRSG does not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not use personal data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Retention and Security

Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, complete and document transactions, comply with tax and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our legal rights. Retention periods vary according to the type of data and why we hold it. When data is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Security and Processing Location

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services are operated in the United States. If you access them from another country, your data may be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Cookies and Other Technologies

Our website uses first-party browser storage to provide essential features. For example, the Roof Inspection booking flow can save an in-progress booking—including contact and building details—on your device for up to 30 days so you do not have to re-enter it when you return.

The LeakStop purchase flow uses session storage to retain your building, contact details, service selections, and displayed price while you complete the purchase, reload the page, or return from checkout. Session storage normally lasts for the browser tab's session.

You can clear this data using your browser settings. Doing so may remove a saved booking draft. We do not use advertising cookies, and our analytics provider, PostHog, uses temporary session storage instead of analytics cookies to connect page views and session recordings. This storage normally lasts for the browser tab's session. You can exclude your visits from analytics. We save your analytics preference in this browser's local storage. That preference is not a tracking identifier and applies to future page loads on that browser and device. Repeat the choice on other browsers or devices and reload any FRSG tabs already open. Clearing site data removes the preference.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete personal data.
  • Receive a portable copy of personal data you provided.
  • Request a list of specific third parties that received personal data.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not currently engage in these activities.

To make a request, email legal@frsgusa.com. Please describe your request and the email address associated with your interaction with us. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law; we may ask for proof of authorization.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and stating that you wish to appeal. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Children

Our website and roofing services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, practices, or legal obligations. When we do, we will post the revised policy here and update the date below. If changes materially affect how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
